The Portuguese ENIC-NARIC centre participates in the international project FRAUDOC - Guidelines on Diploma Mills and Document Fraud for Credential Evaluators. This project aims the publication of two guides on Diploma Mills and fraudulent documents, which will compile verification techniques for academic documents and higher education institutions, to help detect fraud cases in academic recognition processes carried out by the ENIC-NARIC centres.
The Portuguese centre is responsible for the collection of publications on the Diploma Mills phenomenon, as well as the writing of the introductory chapters of the two guides.
Started in March 2016 and lasting 24 months, the project coordinated by the Italian centre also counts with the participation of Belgium (Flanders), Denmark, Estonia and Sweden. Non-formal partners were also invited Canada, the United States of America and New Zealand.
